I however recommend that you order your credit report the old fashion way, via U.S. mail. This will allow you to create the start of your paper trail which you will be grateful for later on in the process.

Highlight the negative items on your credit report and collect any proof to support your claims. Once you have completed that step, it’s time to write your letters of dispute and send them in to the credit bureaus.

Once 30 days have lapsed it’s time to make sure that the bureaus have done their jobs. If any statement that you disputed could not be validated it must be removed.

Although the above method is a basic outline I highly recommend that you get a credit repair kit before going on. This will save you time and help you avoid any unforeseen obstacles.
