Commercial Vacuum Cleaners: What You Should Know
In the past, cleaning the floor was a problematic task that only the most adventurous would jump into. This is because there used to be very little in the way of machines for cleaning. You had to use a broom to sweep the floor. Rugs had to be taken outside and shaken. All the dirt you found had to be manually cleaned up with a dust pan. A change in breeze could make all your efforts wasted by blowing all the dirt back around, so you had to start all over again, but this time with the windows closed for sure!
Thankfully, someone came up with the idea of automating this work by making a vacuum cleaner. Now we have two different types available to us. This is the household model, used at home, and then for heavy use and business use, the commercial vacuum cleaner has stepped in to get the job done.
This article will talk about the latter type of vacuum cleaners, the one used for large commercial spaces. Here is what you need to know about this type of vacuum cleaner.
1. Since commercial vacuum cleaners are designed to clean up large, business environments, the motors needed to be stronger and more powerful than the standard household model. This also meant a heavier unit. Along with that, it creates an increase in price, too.
2. These models are used in places in which lots of dirt and grime build up, such as factories and warehouses involved in the production of chemicals or toxic substances. This could create a hazard for the cleaners responsible for the area. The solution was to add what’s called a HEPA filter to the units. This makes it safer for the cleaning crew and does a better job at cleaning in general.
3. Make sure to have the right equipment for the job. This means having a backpack commercial vacuum cleaner to reach those hard spots, versus having a typical upright cleaner just for the walkable areas. For wide open spaces, use a model that has an extra wide interface to get the job done faster.
